I don't recall ever bringing up the thought of selling that bass but I could be wrong. I did start a thread about the Fender Mustang P/J (and Reverend Mercalli) recently, but there was no mention of my Jake.

You mentioned NOT wanting to sell it In the thread about your shortscale GAS. Seems I mixed it up in the back of my head.

You did well now anyway. If I needed a 6er, I would definitely grab it.

I’ve sold a ton of gear through the TB classifieds, it’s probably the best way to get your stuff in front of bass players. Sure, the US is the largest portion, but there are plenty of bassists in the EU on Talkbass.

You need to be a supporting member, but there are no commissions or fees.

mostly I'm just curious if you look at basses as being despensible/replaceable, or if you only buy really special basses (objectively unique or special to you as a player) and therefore would never get rid of any unless you REALLY had to.

I usually upgrade my gear, which means that the last thing that was my go-to becomes my back up. These are tools not toys, so assuming I bond with the new stuff the previous back up goes on the For Sale list.

I'm not very proactive when it comes to selling. I can take several years to get around to sell something, but I rarely go back and play anything that's made it to the "departure lounge".

It's been replaced by "better" gear. . . twice. . . so there's no point.

Well that didn't last then, did it? There is a bit of sentimental value but not enough to justify holding onto it and hardly ever playing it.

I rarely even look at this one, so I have sold it this weekend.
I still have my B12, though.
