Cool! 63 here,
At a gig with my Blues Brothers-style band. Then at during a session earlier this year.
I consider myself so very blessed to be able to play the situations I’m in and manage the loading, traveling, and schedule (it ain’t getting any easier, but I’m hanging in there…).

That’s a Gruv Gear Fretwrap. On the few occasions I play slap bass(which won’t be often on that particular P5), I can slide it diagonally onto the fretboard to (sorta) keep the B string from resonating freely as I do so. I also keep one on my M5V and my Stingray. They aren’t perfect, but they help.

Since that pic, I’ve set that particular bass up for 1/2-step down tuning for a particular (and busy) country music artist who prefers the band tune down. It has slightly heavier strings and the action and relief are set up for that tuning now. So I have another one of those basses on the way. It will be a natural-finish bass.

Seems like us 55+'ers generally have some pretty nice gear. Maybe that's one positive about hitting the age where your knees to sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies when you get out of a chair or go up a staircase.

I also play in bands who use different tunings i e 1/2 and 1full step down.
I use a Digitech Drop pedal to eliminate having to setup up my basses differently .
It works flawlessly. If anyone chooses to go that way the Digitech must be 1st in the chain. You must change the pitch before adding any effects

That is very interesting. The band I just joined tunes a 1/2 step down. I was going to set up 2 basses for that tuning. Maybe I don't have to. Can you play chords with it in use? I assume yes given the "poly" part of the full pedal name.

This Pedulla is a 1995 MVP Signature model (AAA maple, gold hardware). It was originally an Amber finish.
However, after a lot of gigging over the years, the finish was getting a bit tattered. So in 2010 I contacted Pedulla to have them refinish the bass as an Amber Sunburst, worked out the arrangements, and sent it to them.
To my surprise, a few days later I got a call from Michael Pedulla himself, who was now doing all Pedulla work. We talked about the finish, and he explained that it would look different as he was now staining the quilted maple to highlight the quilting more.
I could not be more happy with the way the Pedulla refinish worked out! I gasped when I opened the case. Mr. Pedulla also updated it a bit (using conductive shielding paint in the control cavity, using the new Pedulla logo on the headstock, etc.).
Here are shots of the bass in the original finish, and after the refinish.
All the years you've been here that we've conversed about hot rods, Bass and/or swapped PM's about other stuff and I think this is the first pic I've ever seen of you.

I'm 63, and this was in June, at the Moondance Jammin' Country Fest in Minnesota.
I wish I could rock a hat like that and look as cool as you. That's my Lemmy Motorhead roots showing. But, alas, they just don't work for me.
