Me at a safe and sane practice yesterday. 61 and counting!
I had to self-edit myself out of a bass search today posted on FB.
It's happened before, maybe to each of you, when you see such hurtful terms such as "stage presence", "18-25", etc.
I still replied to the poster, told them "you should have no problem finding a young, hot, bass player", but if you can't, you have a "old, bald, and fat" bass player here that plays those songs all night long.

Great thread! Some if you guys look 10 years younger than your stated age. Going on my 40th year playing bass. 57 years old. This pic was taken last weekend.

I'm 55 and I'm a Maiden tribute and an original metal band that just got signed. Guess life does begin and 50
Turn 57 at the end of October and have been playing since I was 15. I will have to post a picture later on because I have absolutely no idea how to post a picture using a fire stick, which should prove my age.
65, 70 and 56. And we still have to put a brick on our drummer frequently. Oh, I only picked up the bass at 50, the other guys have played out since their youth.

I love the cajon and don't know that I'd ever want to go back to a drum set. This was a gig last Friday night.

If you fill each differently with beer (or empty at different levels 
ya get different sounds )....Ok I'll go hide now.
