Yeah, styling "reminiscent" of some older famous models, but modern all at the same time. Very cool!

I've ordered a Midwestern. Saw a pic of Tim LeFebvre using one in the studio, and was intrigued. A shortscale bass that looks really cool and uses a Bisonic pup certainly has my attention. I already own a 1967 Guild Starfire bass, and I have been looking for a similar solidbody bass that might be slightly tighter in the bottom end, especially for live use. Mine will have a Curtis Novak Bisonic with a push-pull volume pot to choose between the Hagstrom and the Darkstar variety. Will report back once I get it. Probably a few weeks away still. And Jake Serek is a fantastic guy to work with!

I custom ordered a solid body medium scale Sacramento about a month ago. Jake Serek has been super cool to deal with and I'm pretty damn fired up to get this thing in my hands! He's doing the neck to spec. I'll post a review here when I get it and have had a chance to bond with it.

The Sacramento soundclips sound very similar to a Rickenbacker 4003 to me. And that's definitely a good thing.

I tried a Sacramento 34" scale last weekend. I was very impressed. Good feel and sound. The build is very good quality.
