Series/Parallel Switch

I've done toggle switches before...just thought a blade switch would be neat, mostly for aesthetic purposes.

I've used a 3 way for pickup switching, but not for series/parallel switching. I figure it's gotta be possible but I hadn't found a good diagram before y'all posted them. Or...I guess I hadn't looked hard enough...

Neither have I. For me, it's always been mini-toggles or push-pull pots.

I figured I was going out on a limb, what with gettin' all fancy an' stuff on the J/MM, but I wanted to do something/anything different. But then, I remembered I had a bunch of unused parts lying around; a control plate from a Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz, a mini-toggle and a wiring harness that could do series or parallel through the neck pot.

I'd heard so much about "coil-splitting" from pickup manufacturers and fellow TB'ers that it just clicked in my head. Once Reinhard verified what I could do with that humbucker, I decided to go for it. In the end, it's an interesting bag of tones all wrapped up in one package!

For the benefit of anyone else reading this thread, what I used was a plate like this…

… only the controls are, from left to right;

1. Neck volume, push-pull for series or parallel.
2. Bridge volume.
3. Master tone.
4. Mini-toggle for the humbucker, single-coil or series.
5. Output jack.
