[MODERATOR VOICE ON]
Well this was painful even to skim through. I'm glad this does not come up often, otherwise I will have to ask for a raise!! :)
If you have questions about what is acceptable to post in the sub-forum, please start by reading the FAQ at the topic of the page, If you are still unsure if your post is appropriate for this forum, please send me a DM.

In general, this forum is for us to discuss other bass players, be they top studio players, weekend warriors, or bedroom noodlers. We discuss their contributions as musicians, artisans, and technicians. We can talk about their sound, their style, their equipment, or similar topics. You are allowed to be complimentary or critical. If you are going to be critical, please be respectful as they are fellow human beings. They have feelings and opinions just like you. If you are going to be critical, be specific and constructive. Saying, I think XX's tone is too harsh for me is fine. Saying XX sucks is not.

What we do not talk about: culture, dress, politics, associations or activities not related to playing bass, biological sex, gender, orientation, nationality, and religion. (Not the entire list, but you get the idea.) Also, don't talk negatively about someone's looks. (I had to add that to the FAQ because some people feel they have the prerogative to discuss another player's teeth. )

Also, no more meta-threads. If we wanted to discuss what threads we can start about bass players, we would open a new sub-forum called meta-bassists-forum. Of course we have no plans to at the moment. So until then, just read the FAQ.
