FOUR-CONDUCTOR WIRING:
A humbucker with a four-conductor lead wire gives
you direct access to each of the coils, which gives
you access to a variety of wiring options. In addition
to series wiring (which is standard humbucking
operation), a four-conductor lead wire allows coil-
splitting, parallel wiring, phase switching, and more.

HUMBUCKER WIRING COLOR CODES:
Most Seymour Duncan humbuckers with four-
conductor wires use the following color code:
Green = beginning of adjustable coil (South)
Red = finish of adjustable coil
Black = beginning of stud coil (North)
White = finish of stud coil
Adjustable coil = south magnetic polarity
Stud coil = north magnetic polarity

Note that each manufacturer has their own color code...so the codes for Seymour Duncan pickups aren't necessarily the same as Fender's OEM pickups.

I'm assuming Fender bass humbuckers are wired with the same color code as their guitar humbuckers. Green is "hot", red is ground (and the bare wire is ground too), the black and white wires are tied together for series humbucking mode which is standard.
