Seriously what bass do you use?

I do 90% of my work on a Mike Lull M5V - best bass I ever had. SD Basslines PU's and a Bartolini NTMB 3-band Preamp. Sounds and plays fantastic
For the remaining 10% out comes a '70's FSR Jazz, and a '62 Precision

Seriously? Well, I've got 6 basses at the moment: a Stingray, '73 Guild JS-2 (sg looking thing), MIM Jazz, SX precision copy with some upgrades, and 2 Peavey T-40's (one in black, one natural Ash). The T-40's are my main players, my gigging basses, and soon to be my main recording basses. The Precision copy would be my number 2, while the others are mainly relegated to special occasions or a particular recording session.

Seriously? No joke? A modded Fender P Lyte usually, but this weekend I'll be using my Jay Turser Beatle Bass because my shoulder is bothering me pretty badly, and it only weighs 4 lbs.

If a P Lyte is too much for your shoulder, you might want to have a doctor take a look at it.

Yeah, I plan to now, especially since I started getting chronic headaches because of it. Put it off for a while because the Lyte was working, but now even it makes my shoulder sore.

OTOH, I love the Turser and don't mind playing it at all.

How long until you can't take the Turser any more? Where do you turn to for something lighter than that? As it is, it sounds like your choices have been limited pretty far. Quit justifying and get yourself fixed up, man.

Same bass I've been playing for 30 years. A '73 Jazz. All original.

I use an SX 5er on a few songs where the 5th string is handy.

I've been through almost ever "production" bass out there--my go to and favorite of bandmates and soundmen--my Jack Read Custom

My Jack Read Jazz is my main fretted. Actually, my only fretted. Considering the few examples of Fender style basses he made, and I've probably played half of them, they are shockingly good. He really has a player's touch with neck shape, balance and setup, not to mention rock solid assembly.

My "main main" bass is a Zon Sonus 5 fretless, and it is a gem. Playability, stability, tone, reliability... the whole package.

My Alleva Coppolo LG5 (pic link in sig) is an absolute dream to play. The tone is to die for.

I also have a MIM Fender P that was my first bass ever. I still love and play it although not as much as the LG5.

ok everyone has mistaken me for some older person with a bit of money xD
Im only 15 here, my family isnt the richest people on the planet.
If I really want something they will get it for me but its only when they have the money.
My Christmas present is supposed to be a Acoustic Bass for $400
that is one of the only things im geting for christmas cause we (my family) dosnt have alot of money.

But really, Im in my school's Jazz Band. The bassist I know him, he usually plays a Signature Fender Jazz (im not sure who its signed by), he has also played a Rick and this one other bass that he played but it was somebody else's.
I really like his Fender Jazz, it just sounds awesome so its probably what I will go fo sometime.
