Setlist Critique & Feedback requested.

OK we are a three piece transitioning to a 4 piece and moving in a more country direction, play out 2-3 times a month. We've tried to get a good mix, plus a few we play because we like them and can pull them off. All four members do vocals and we work hard on our harmonies.

Any feedback on some duds that might be in the list or tunes we've overlooked? We typically play 4 sets with 13-15 songs in each set and here's the pool we are looking at drawing from in no particular order.

We were, with the addition of another member dynamics change, and so has the crowd we've been playing to. This is fueling some of the change. only a few acts playing any country at all, party rock and classic rock bands are a dime a dozen and pretty much share the same set list. Just trying to differentiate ourselves.

Last Dance with Mary Jane/Ice Ice Baby - Mash up

:eyebrow::D

All kidding aside, a few of these tunes *might* be too mellow for a bar gig (e.g. Peaceful Easy Feeling) and some others, while great, seem to be misfits in your setlist (e.g. Forget You).

Overall, though, it looks like a pretty good list. I think the country/classic rock mix could be successful.

If you guys REALLY have the harmonies together on these tunes, you're gonna impress one way or the other. :)

The reason why I asked is because here on the west coast (CA) some of the songs on your list work well for easy listening restaurant and arty-fart background type gigs, but are real sleepers that don’t work well with an upbeat dance type band - something you may want to pay extra attention to and adjust your song list accordingly.

Good call. It's the same way over here.

Incidentally, I wouldn't market or book any gigs as "country" and then show up to play THAT set list.

MMMMMMMMMM Rubber Biscuit.

You could do pretty well in Oklahoma with that set list. We have several of those same songs in our inventory.

Contrary to what others have told you, we would add some ballads to the mix. Guys wearing Stetsons want to "shine their buckles" a few times through the evening. Also, because we live here, we would add more "Red Dirt" to the list.

As far as whether or not it's Country, your set list has alot more Country in it than the CMT top 20.

"we all sing"- Just my opinion but I am sick of these 4-5 dudes singing type bands- Eagles,etc...
To me "we all sing" says "None of us are particularly good at any of our instruments" have always found that to be the case.

I think that is just plain ridiculous.

The Eagles were all top-notch at their individual instruments. I get sick of 1 or 2 guys singing bands where I grow tired of one guy's voice over the course of the night.

The more singers, the better, especially regarding the harmonies.

Four guys singing is a good thing every single time.

I don't know where you're coming from with that post at all.
