Seymour Duncan MM preamp slap switch ?

Thinking of getting anyway, but curious as not specified ...

Does anybody know if the tone you preset for the 'slap switch' function applies INSTEAD of the control-knob settings, or if it is applied AS WELL AS the control-knob settings ?

You set the bass boost and mid cut of the slap switch via two small dials on the preamp module. You can adjust the preamp treble/mid/bass whilst in slap mode.

I like the Duncan STC preamps, very underrated. I wish they would develop a Jazz plate, it would be difficult to fit all that stuff in a standard Jazz route.
