Hello everyone,
I found a few threads in a search, but they are all like 2 years old, so i didnt really want to bumb that old of a thread.
im planning on getting a Brice HXB405 around Christmas time. I really feel like id want the extra mid knob of a 3 band eq. so i was thinking of upgrading the electronics with the Seymour Duncan STC-3p. i was wondering how this sounds...is it versitile?
Does it get too boomy?
Does the treble get to piercing?
Would it compliment the stock pickups?
I play music styles such as Rock, some metal, jazz, funk, and fusion.
I usually like a failry bright tone, but with a good bit of bass in it.
I tend to blend more of the bridge pickup in my sound.
all help is good,
thanks in advance,
rory
