Just a couple of notes here. I have had my MicroThumpinator for a week or so and really appreciated the transparency, the nice buffer stage for the pedal board and the kindness to my old speakers. Have played 2 gigs with the trusty old Polytone MBIII and didn't have any of the subsonic blatting of old and the amp seemed to run a bit cooler.
I also used it in a studio with really large monitors that usually bump and grind if we don't have the HPF engaged, the MicroThumpinator did the trick even better than the studios White Instruments EQ HPF which is 12db at 30Hz.

I also developed a rare issue with the AY2 which Max was very helpful diagnosing the issue, confirming the replacement part, he also patiently dealt with my concerns :help:like the gentleman we know.

That red and black Thumpinator is sexy!

I also have to reiterate my love of the little box; I keep at least one buffer on my pedal board to help with the signal. Right now, all of my pedals are true bypass and the Thumpinator is now my only signal buffer :hyper:

I need to plan for the arrival of my Micro Thump. It will be the 6th pedal in my case. I have a 5-connector for the Godlyke. I need to either hunt down a y-splitter or use the 11-connector extension. I really don't want to use that long extension, though. I worry the rubber caps could come off and short something out.

The shipping is tracked but the tracking info doesn't say much apart from "posted", "in transit", "delivered".

Usually, I don't give the tracking number to my customers because it will simply tell them that the unit has been posted (something they know anyway from my email) and that they have received the unit (information that they obviously already have).

If you are interested in the tracking information please send me an email and I'll reply with the tracking number the web site where to check.

Thanks also for the feedback about the micro-Thumpinator and the studio application. I never had the chance of trying it with large studio monitors.

You are more than welcome, Max.

I was able to put the AY2 thru the paces on my 2 tone demanding gigs, jazz 5tet and instrumental trio, and it shone thru like a champ. I was able to get a nice vintage P-bass tone shallow mids touch of roll off on the highs, nice finger round tone and a semi modern slap sound all by just flipping the 3 way toggle and instantly go to the naturally aggressive tone of my main bass.

My wife wasn't home to receive a package. It is sitting at the post office. The microThump is the only pedal I have on order...could it be? Or could it be the pair of stuffed animals I ordered for my boys? One of us is going to be happy tomorrow.

I don't have a Growler anymore, but the red Thumper is pretty sweet next to my Octamizer. And yeah, it makes my low end signal just a little bit tighter, and keeps my studio headphones from bwapping out as much at high volume.

Count me in as an [sfx] appreciator. :hyper:

Figured I'd post my pedalboard just to show how comfortably my MicroThumpinator sits amoung things:

God I love that little box. Loads of musicians ask me what it does. As I explain what it does their expressions turn from apprehensive, to perplexed to impressed. The unanimous response from musos and tech heads has been "that's a brilliant little gizmo!"

I would love to put together a [sfx]-theme board:

Micro Thumpinator
Big Beautiful Bass
Micro Blue Dragon
Micro Fuzz
Micro Boost

It would be a fairly straight-forward tone board for distortion and drive! boo-yah! And then I would have to resist the temptation to trade away the Micro Thump...again. :)
