Yep, I've thought already for some time about clipping the lead after reading about some TB:er doing that. And when you say it also opens up the sound of the mudbucker, and it is totally reversible, so why not. I go and get my pliers...I guess I will then have the same sound/setting in both pos 1 and 4?
Pretty much, I think there is still a little difference although as I said I did put another little choke in there. The one I put in doesn't really cut out much bottom though and could probably just be taken right out. But being able to use both pickups full range really gives you a lot of options. I can't turn the bridge pickup all the way up though it completely blanks out the neck which is kind of weird, I can turn it to about 9 though (you would think it was the opposite) but other than that you can add or subtract as much top and bottom as you like.
