SG & EB Bass Club

At band practice with my SG!

60 EBO with 3/8" ultralites

IMO they'll work well for bigger headstock EBOs. The one screw hole should be inside the original tuner footprint. The '60 bass originally had factory banjo tuners which I replaced with Schaller M4 in '66. Last year I switched to the Ultralites.

Here's some bad pictures of my wifes Epiphone EB0. Low light pictures and to get to grips with some new image software...

As I mentioned, I moved the strapbuttons (and installed Dunlop straploks). I also changed the pickguard screws to black ones, and setup the bass as best I could. I'll take some better pictures when I have more time.

Brian D you are #57!

'ere she is, mates. Sorry for my crapatastic photo stuff.
I played her about an hour after rewiring, making a new bezel for the neck unit and working out a few bugs. New 3 way up/ down LP style.
I can see what all the fuss is about, If you are at heart a rock or jam player ala Entwistle, Casady, etc who really digs in ,plays all over the place, uses a lot of dynamics, muting, raking etc etc, which is what I am at heart, These really deliver. obviously I will be getting to know them past the honeymoon, but in a nutshell,

They really are full range, wide range, and very responsive to dynamics and attack, just like you've heard. I can't speak for originals, Hammons or Novaks, but these are nice. More to come, Going to post some clips, never have before and want to do it justice. stay tuned.

I grabbed two of those Guild Bi Sonics to do the exact same build. I got sidetracked by unexpected home repairs, so they are still waiting for a home. I would love to hear a clip of yours.

Long time lurker on TB! Here's my Gibson Faded 2011!
The previous owner installed a Certainbass varitone, which I have no plans of taking out, and switched the knobs on it to make it look more like the EB3.
I might put DiMarzios Model One in it though, just to get that singlecoil option at the neck! :bassist:
Here it is, enjoy:

As you can see the bass got some marks. That's because once you pick it up you can't put it away, right? :roflmao:
I use TI flats, amazing feel and sound!

A number please!
