OK I got the last of the Christmas edition Cherry Cream pies a few weeks ago and I know there are a few of you looking forward to the TalkBass Cream Pie coming soon. I was wondering what settings everyone is using on theirs.

Personally I'm working with Tone 8:30, Level 11:30 and gain anywhere between 3 o'clock and max

What about the rest of you??

That's a very nice setting, another similar but lovely one is tone at minimum, volume where ever it is appropriate and then gain maxed out. Get's a lovely creamy overdrive.

I also use tone: 11ish vol: unity gain and gain at about 1-3 o clock.

I run mine almost Identical to yours, when I get my second one I'm gonna run one on all the time as a nice tube overdrive hardly distorting the signal and the other for the more intense OD needs (set almost exactly like yours).

Another fun one is turning the gain completely down and maxing out the volume to drive your amp pretty hard....beware though and turn the volume down on your amp first so you don't blow a speaker.

Same here. I mainly use passive jazz bass and I found that Cream Pie boost my low end so much that I decided to keep it on all the time. The difference in low end is that huge. I`m not sure yet where to place my bassdrive - before or after Cream Pie. Somehow it doesn`t seem to make that radical difference in sound. I would like to use Bassdrive to make my sound even more overdriven.

I've found the same thing, the boost to my jazz is huge, can't play without it now

My settings are Tone 12 o'clock, Voloume 1 - 1:30 and gain 1 - 1:30

Thats how you get the gainz anything higher than 1 o clock to me starts sounding like a treble booster

After playing around with it last night, I like the tone about 9:00, Gain at 2:30-3:00 and the level is variable.

My settings have changed slightly from the pic I posted..

Level is up to about 12
Tone is up to about 8
Gain is at about 3:30 - 4
