My gig rig from last Saturday, played with a blues-rock band.

Is anyone here using a self powered 18" club subwoofer in their rig?

I'm trying to prevent myself from an impulsive buy. Years ago in a previous band I used a mackie self powered 18" with a built in crossover. We ran my bass and the kick drum through it in our rehearsal studio (big studio). Along with my ampeg rig. It sounded amazing.

I'm desperately trying to not buy another self powered 18" to lug around Los Angeles... unless, of course, it would be worth it. Logically I think I've talked myself into seeing how my 810E does by itself, but I also need to take advantage of having a physical shipping address while I can use it before hitting the road.

I play this setup :

I'll add a 2x10 to the 4x10 within the next weeks and I'll sell the 1516. I've found an used 1x15 which will allow me to some interesting setup (210+115 or 6x10 or 410+115 and the doomish 610+115 below 4 ohms).

I have a goal, a long term goal, to use a similar rig to Mike Inez's

I just grab things from my project studio:

Avalon VT737SP Tube Pre-Comp-Eq and Crown Macrotech 1200 Power Amp (both in a flight case rack) plus combination of bass cabinets depends on the venue. I have some Carvin 10"s, 12"s, 15"s, and 18"s.

I've just got a 3 Pro in a rack with my tuner and wireless running through a 410he.
Pretty simple setup, but I really dig it.

i'm using an RH450 with 2 x DB112's

X2 XDR-95 -> Korg DTR-2000 -> Mesa M-pulse 600 -> Mesa PH810...

For basses, I mostly use either a '76 P, an '08 Am Standard Jazz, or an EBMM SR5 Roasted Neck Ebony Board BFR...

Congrats, those are some of the nicest Fenders I've ever seen.
