Sharing my excitement

Hey folks, I am just shaking with excitement here... TB is a great community with great people doing great things, I have learned a lot from reading the countless threads embedded in this fine virtual city to which I am proud to be a part of. I recently made a purchase to which I am extremely excited about.

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=553473

I used to own a 4 string precision, I foolishly (debatable, since my mom and dad were going through some really rough times money wise) sold it.

I just wanted to convey my excitement. I apologize for this if it seems show-offish, but I truly am very excited about this purchase.

Thanks folks.

Good for you!

I have the same bass but in oly white.

It is AMAZING!!!! :bassist::hyper:

I stopped bringing my '74 P to gigs as this sounds so good. It sounds EXACTLY like an American Standard 4 string P.... with another string!;):D

I prefer the burst to my white actually. The SB finish is the nicest available on a P5 IMO.

I also have a 5 string Fender Jazz SB (with a white pickguard, but I am going to change that very soon) which I love to play as well.. just something about a PBass sound that is unbeatable for what I am playing.

If you can't get excited about and show off a new purchase HERE then where CAN you?!?! :D

I'd certainly be excited about that purchase if I were you. Why? Because I have the EXACT same bass and can tell you from my own experience that it's definitely worth getting excited about. Think you're excited now? Wait 'til you actually get to play it. ;)

Congratulations!

EDIT - I notice you're getting a pack of Chromes with it. The previous owner put TI Flats on mine but I recently bought a set of Chromes for it. I already have Chromes on a Jazz Fretless and really like both their tone and the feel but I've just been hesitant about actually making the change. I don't like the low tension of the TI's sound but I *love* how they sound. Make sure you post a review once you have a chance to play it - and put the new strings on.
