Sheehan Wife Replica bass

the original WIFE had a Dimarzio P-bass pickup. I opted for a D.Allen because I fell it has better clarity and stronger Mids.

I am a Sheehan fan but not a Sheehan-Clone.

I fell in love with this bass design and have always wanted one.

The bridge cover is set back to give room for the replacement bridge. He had an original Bad Ass installed years, years ago. Then later swapped it for a Schaller replacement bridge. You can even see where he had to fill in the wood from the hole left when he took bad ass out. ( the original bad ass had to be counter sunk )

Thanks. Finally after all these years! Badass 1...yes.

John says projected price will be around $4500 and he will do a limited run of 10 basses.
He already has some interested buyers lined-up.

All the black/sunburst paint specs on the bass are individually handpainted. I wish I had a good picture to show of the back of bass where there is still some sunburst left but mostly all peeled of just like on original WIFE.

Everyone's dream instrument comes at a price... mine is worth it to me.

I've been quite taken by this bass and this build, truly aww inspiring.

I can find very subtle differences but only if you really sit and stare at it for some time.
And that's a compliment (Nothing is perfect not even a Xerox) just in case that is taken the wrong way.

I am an artist and have been for some time, this is VERY well executed and the detail is astounding.
Very well done job, I have been back to this thread about 15 times today hoping for more pics.

Please post more as soon as you can. Thanks
