Sheehan Wife Replica bass

OK, so I gotta ask:

1. What's with the screws and washers on the front?
2. Are those working knobs?
3. Is the cavity THAT big in the back that the knobs are all the way up the pickguard?

1.The screws and washers are to reinforce the pickguard. With 2 input jacks, that's alot of on a piece of plastic
2. The extra knobs are separate controls for the gibson humbucker as is the 2nd input jack
3. There's no cavity in the back, is under the pickguard

That bass just got 10-13x cooler in my book!

Mr. Allen, your pickup ended my search for the perfect P-Bass sound. I went through just about every pickup available and I thought I was happy with one until I bought and installed your pickup in my bass. Now I can honestly say that I don't have to search for my sound anymore. A million thank you's sir.

Crud! I just realized I didn't get any pics of Jaymi's bass...
It sounded great, too!
I wish I had a chance to play both of them in a better environment. Guitar shows are way too sonically chaotic for good test drives.

I intended to pick it up, but Mr. Bluesman was busy and someone helping in his booth basically jumped in front of me telling me what it was while sliding the tags between the strings. That guy must have missed the memo that I was coming by

That is so bad... I want to start doing tribute basses now. I am going to build a Mike Dean 80's COC bass someday. Great job... I would love to play that bass!
