Short scale Basses

I'm kind of a fan of the Danelectro Longhorn style - 30" scale plus 24 frets can be fun. Longhorn reissue "Pro" versions (better tuners, neck and bridge - what I have) can be picked up for $150 - $300 in nice shape. A more expensive option is the Jerry Jones version - much better quality but costly unless you find a deal.
