Should I Buy A Kemper Or A Quad Cortex?

I'm thinking about buying a Kemper stage before moving to Nashville to try and pursue a career playing bass because of its sound quality and extreme versatility. I like the idea of having almost every bass amp ever made available to me, and it seems like the Kemper has more than proven itself over 10 years. BUT- it seems like the people that have received Quad Cortexs already think their profiling accuracy is better than the Kemper. I'm going to try out a friends Kemper before I make a decision, but does anybody have any input as to which one I should buy? I'm leaning towards the Kemper mostly because trying to jump into the pro world I want something that has been road tested and proven.

Are you going to be doing a lot of profiling/capturing yourself?
Or just buying them from others?
A lot the cost and complexity of both these is in the profile/capture and refining of the capture.

If you want signature bass amp sounds certified by the original manufacturers there are other options to use modelers that don't let you do your own captures.

I don't know how much the Nashville music scene lends itself to the capabilities of either Kemper or Cortex. I might think it's just a couple of amps you'd want to use for bass.

With all of the software plug-ins available for bass, I don't see the advantage of providing tones yourself. If you are walking into a Nashville studio with a well setup bass, a bunch of techniques at your disposal, and a great attitude, I am sure the rest of the "cool sounding gear" is already present in the studio. Working with the producer/band is the better way to go with tone options.

I suggest reaching out to other musicians that are doing what you are and see how they approach studio work.

I used to have a Kemper, it was great. But not very user friendly. I have a Quad Cortex on order. I expect similar sound quality but with more power/capabilities (add an octave up and sent the signal to a guitar amp for example) and a much easier menu. I think I'll be happy. But there are some delays, so if you order one now it could probably take a couple of months.
