If you want to get another bass, why not try a Guild, Hofner, Rickenbacker or something different altogether? You already have all the Fender and some of the Gibson stuff covered.

I disagree. I have four P basses (five if you count the Hohner fretless P/J) and they all are quite different in feel and in sound.Call me a old fogie (or something worse - you won't be the first... or last), but I just don't understand the fascination in collecting multiple basses of the same model, especially when it is a lower level of the bass - even worse, saying you "need" them. I can see if you are gigging regularly, having two of a model, to have a backup, or different strings.
You're not a P Bass guy. You have some very desirable instruments. If they don't flick your P switch, nothing else will, IMHO.I play Blues, classic rock and ect....
Mostly I gravitate to Thunderbirds and Jazz Basses.
I have a number of P- Basses.
A 52 that was built for me, a 57 AVRI, a 62 and a 62 AVRI and a parts bass.
I pick them up and play for awhile but always go back to a Jazz mostly.
I am thinking of trying one more.
Maybe a older Tokai , Edwards or Bacchus.
After this, I don't know.....
Maybe I'm not a P- Bass guy.
Nothing sounds better than a fretless carrot... To answer the OP question NO it is not for you at the moment maybe later but not now......this is why I vote for carrots
(no poll, so it' ll be a carrotcake!)
