Should I go Mac?

Check the Mac you want for compatibility with any Windows programs you like to use now. If you have some games you really like, check and see if there is a Mac version.

I'd also check to make sure the Mac version of the internet is available in your area. Macs won't run on the same internet connection as your PC.

Also to the person who just upgraded their PC to gaming rig, what kind of video card did you get? Because my bet is if you only spent that amount than you didn't get a SM 3.0 card which means you can't play any games that will be coming out from here on out

If you want to game get a console unless you want to MMO then you can do that on a mac too.

Yeah...you can put any video card a PC can in a Mac..heck the Mac Pro can take 4 Nvidia 7900's and yes you can run Oblivion on all the new macs.

that one statement is a holdover from (at least tech wise) a long time ago. Adobe apps, Steinberg apps, even Protools can all be run on a PC just as well.

Mac OS is way more stable.

Also it's much more stable to dual boot a mac with windows xp than it is to dual boot a PC with MacOSX

No, I'm not. I use Word, MS Visual Studio, games, internet, music. That's pretty much it. I don't suspect people on here do much more on their home computers. Maybe the select few, but do the programs really require a new computer to operate?
