Mac's rock. I love mine. i have been a Mac user for 3 years now and would NEVER go back.

im a windows user and i say absolutely. My next purchase will be a mac (for recording that is). i'll probably keep a windows machine around for email and the like.

Here is all you need to know... go to the mac place, price out a machine. Go to a 'windows' place and price out an IBM with similar specs. As far as upgrading the ibm i'd usually say only 'newbs' pay retail, but it is easier... the cheaper one... say you will buy it ... install whatever OS you want on it.

Didnt feel like reading the thread so it might have been said before but I say go for Mac definetly. You should wait for the new edition of Mac OS X 10.5 to come out (and likely a hardware upgrade soon)
