Should I trade my AVRI 63 precision for a Valenti Verrazano?

I do double on four and five string basses so both are useful to me.

It's a tough decision, I need help!

Play both basses and make the decision yourself. It should not matter what anybody else thinks, unless for some reason you specifically require a real Fender P bass. In other words if somebody is paying you a boatload of money to play a P.

Without the opportunity to play both basses I would choose the Valenti as I prefer a more modern sound.

I sold my AVRI 1962 Precision Bass to help fund buying a Rickenbacker 4003. On one hand, the 4003 was, for me, a sort of ideal dream bass. In retrospect, I kinda wish I had bought a Ric at the time I bought the Precision in the first place.

On the other hand -- that was a totally excellent Precision bass, and I miss it. I'm torn. Part of me thinks I shouldn't have done it. Part of me is happy I did. I reckon I would probably regret NOT making this trade had I NOT done it, so there's that.

Best case scenario: have enough cash to have both basses! Plus a few more!

I am in fact a former owner of the Valenti and I've gigged with it. Both basses are amazing.

I would not. The only reason I sold my AVRI 63 was to fund a moollon P. They are really good basses.

But do you have other pbasses on that level?
