Should I trust basscentral?

Yes, you buy the bass and then thy will deliver it to you. Thats about it, as far as customer service from my experience that's another story, a negative story.

There are two sides to every story. Let's see, I bought my Fodera there and a WT-800 and maybe a couple other things. Oh yeah, my Pink Lakland JO5. Always excellent service and no hassles.

I also bought from them over the phone a Lakland 55-02 many years ago. The only con is that they shipped the bass to Canada floating around in a cardboard box with no packing at all.
Luckly, it arrived in perfect condition.

Makes me wonder how the bass building company ships it. I have bought many Warwicks
From BC and each of them can repackaged, but packed o how Warwick ships them out (which is VERY secure I might add)

I have never had a bad experience there!

Which is a shame because their website doesn't accurately reflect their inventory! I always have to call to ask if they have something in

I ordered from them a while ago. Not in the last few years but i always had a perfect experience. On time delivery and always in perfect condition. But keeping up with an inventory such as there's is a very hard thing to do as company prices change constantly. The bigger the inventory the bigger the problems keeping up with he prices. They are not like Musicians friend who by the way are owned by big bucks ( Bains Corp, I am sure you have read about them if you are somewhat into politics). A company such as that have a very large staff to keep up with the prices and stock. Whats great about Bass Central they are just that. A few bassist trying to keep up with the big boys. What the difference is one is owned by musicians and understand there needs. The other owns multitude of companies and have the bucks to do it.

I bought an amp from them once. No problems there.

I tried to order a Roscoe from them and this was right before Gard left and I had actually been talking to them. Spoke to 2 sales people about ordering a custom Roscoe and they kept losing my spec sheet. Wasn't going to risk it with that kind of $.

Did you order the Roscoe, or were you just "talking about ordering one"? There's a difference. I had no such difficlties when ordering my JO5 and my Fodera. There was no risk.

Gard took them with him to get a headstart on his new job.

j/k................I think

I talked to him about options since he was their expert. He then left to work for Roscoe. I talked to 2 different guys after I made my decision for options. Losing my info twice made me a little too cautious. Plus, I already wasn't a fan of ordering custom gear through shops. Playing telephone between dealers and builders isn't for me.
