Should you put stickers on a bass.

I don't do it because I can't think of a sticker I want on any of my basses. But I'm down with it if others want to do it. Ain't my bass.

This is also the reason I don't have any tattoos.

I only put stickers on stuff if I'm not concerned about the sticker devaluing it.

I think there's a big difference between paper stickers that deteriorate and look bad and vinyl stickers. Our guitar player did it with vinyl stickers for years. He'd change the stickers every year or so and I never noticed paint fading or anything like that.

If somebody puts bumper stickers all over their car, I would assume that they would have no problem putting them on their bass gear too ... I would have no interest in it in either case ... and, if I am looking to purchase a piece, and it has stickers, no matter how adamant the seller is that they will come off, I will consider it permanently scarred and value the piece accordingly ...

Always thought it would be cool to sticker a pickguard or something and then clear coat it. Non permanent and you get to have a fun little custom pickguard.
