Show me your compact pedalboard setup

View attachment 3688476 View attachment 3688473 I was gonna put rechargeable batteries underneath so may still tidy this board up a bit lol ...
You could use a battery pack (like a portable phone charging battery pack) along with a cable that converts from usb to 9v, and a multi power cable and get the same result, with the battery pack possibly mounted underneath.
Just a thought.
When I was using pedals, I used an Anker battery pack and a cable from birdcord and it worked beautifully.

I love the portability of your set up.

Thanks for the heads up :) .. I was thinking of getting a Palmer Batpack to velcro underneath & have the batteries as backup but that Birdcord gives me another possibility esp as mobile power chargers are reasonably cheap .. the Thomann (music area) case makes it pretty easy to carry .. Moog Flange & Thorpyfx Fat General have a 9v battery as well ... :)

Here's the latest iteration of my small board. I put this together for my ampless situations and various theatre gigs, where I need a bunch of different effects, but not a lot of real estate to put big boards on them.

Bass --> Eventide H9 --> Trickfish Minnow --> FOH / Amp

Cables: Tsunami
Power Supply: Strymon Ojai R30
Board: Pedaltrain Metro 16

Yeah, I know that the H9 has a tuner in it, but I like having a dedicated one with a strobe function.

Trying out the Walrus Audio Lillian phaser. More on the subtle side but the mix knob (dpv) lets you get a nice transparent sound with lower settings. Only downside is that the placement of the jacks prevents me from using two pancake cables.

EBS (or equivalent) flat cables should work in that situation. They take up less space at the jack.

Some while ago, I posted a Nano+ setup (#742 / Page 38) & admittedly have a slightly larger board now - but given its for an IEM rig & I don’t have to carry an amp anymore, it could count as ‘compact’??

I’ve recent pre-ordered a @Dsmnoisemaker / Humboldt Bass Simplifier, as I wanted to stack a couple of drive pedals (B7K & Animated or Duality) in parallel - and DSM’s pedals are really excellent. I definitely prefer them to IR-loading & being more instantly tweakable.

I have a love/hate relationship with both the TC Spark & Power Stage - but spending a little more time with them is now getting some great results.
