Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Nice-top jacks rule. I had no trouble finding compression and tube warmth/overdrive that I like with top jacks, but the other effects I enjoy like envelope filter, octave down, other modulation boxes are less common.
Yes, this is a hard rule for me now. Modulation and octaver are on my other board and to stick to top jacks there I mainly have just Broughton, 3Leaf, and Iron Ether stuff.

Hey! How are Jives working for you? Do they cut any high end? Was thinking of getting an always on one but am afraid it will take away some sweetness off my ash-maple jazz bass type of bass. All the samples on YouTube are played on p-basses
I love them. The first one thickens my tone very nicely, and the second one is a killer OD. No high end loss as far as I can tell, but I haven’t really been on the lookout for any.

It surprised me.....and is my fave env filter. I find following the Empress gets the best sound out of it. I also have an EBS IQ and the little Mooer sweeper thingy, and used to have the MXR equivalent, which I flipped.

Cool, thanks. Electro-Harmonix seems to have a knack for getting envelope filters right. I have been curious about this new one, mostly because of the small size.

Nice board!

Made a new set-and-go board with only essentials and a dirt option. But it’s basically just for gigs where I won’t need to mess around with tone.

Super simple path: Bass—>sFx MicroThumpinator—>ISP Deci-Mate—>TCE Polytune3 Mini—>JPTR FX Jive—>Doc Lloyd Photon Death Ray—>Southampton Ictineo—>Amp.
And yeah, I know the cables are a mess- I literally just put this badass together.

Not small, but definitely compact

Love seeing this recent influx of Jive pedals. Definitely a bit of a gem in the tone department for a relatively small investment.

How do your 5th gear and Terraformer tones differ? Do you use both as a light overdrive?
Yes, I use both for light OD. I find the Terraformer to have a more pronounced mid bump, though this can be compensated with the EQ (or made more subtle thanks to the blend). The FG mostly rolls off the top end and perhaps includes a little HPF, in a pleasant way.

I have overhauled my board to where I am very happy with the results . The YYZ is a excellent overdrive light to heavy . I have found that my compressor works best after the YYZ . The Mesa Subway DI + is a fantastic tone shaper . I run it’s preamp xlr line level out to the xlr line in on the back of my Quilter 802 . So I Am essentially using the Quilter as a power amp only .
