Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I couldn't help myself and took my Xotic EP Booster and One Control Hooker's Green Bassmachine off the board. I shed those two and replaced for one with the Baltimore Sonic Research Institute Ashmaker.

Adds some +/- EQ adjustment, makes the boost switch easier to access upfront and the Mid Contour control is very nice, too.

Also fine tuned the peripheral FS/A-B/Tuner and deleted the volume pedal, for now.

I'm teeter-tottering between a small preamp + DI combo (think something like the Modele B and a Temple Audio DI MOD), or the DSM Humboldt Bass Station. The bass station would be tougher to fit under my board how I want, but it looks ridiculously versatile. I want to give it a go soon.
The bass station is great its everything I need. the blending of the signals, the fx loops, the cab Sim. All are really great! I highly recommend the dsm bass station!

Cheers for the input! I'm now tempted to build myself an 18"*8" board (Think something like a Metro 18), with custom angling/height options so i can fit a preamp under the board, as well as a few more toneshaping pedals :P The most tempting one at the moment is a JHS Colour Box, for that sweet console preamp sound. Glad to hear the Bass Station is a good option though! It may be a better call, size-wise.

Given the tone shaping capabilities why would you put it under the board plus it's pretty tall for a pedal it definitely commands a place on the top yes?

Because I wouldn't use a preamp in between songs pretty much ever, haha. I'd rather have it as an always-on tone enhancer/DI box, to make performance and recording easier. I don't see how having an always-on pedal taking up valuable real estate on the top of my board would be useful.

Because this pre amp is for tweaking. You need something much simpler. This box is a different beast all together.
