The bass station is great its everything I need. the blending of the signals, the fx loops, the cab Sim. All are really great! I highly recommend the dsm bass station!I'm teeter-tottering between a small preamp + DI combo (think something like the Modele B and a Temple Audio DI MOD), or the DSM Humboldt Bass Station. The bass station would be tougher to fit under my board how I want, but it looks ridiculously versatile. I want to give it a go soon.
Cheers for the input! I'm now tempted to build myself an 18"*8" board (Think something like a Metro 18), with custom angling/height options so i can fit a preamp under the board, as well as a few more toneshaping pedalsThe bass station is great its everything I need. the blending of the signals, the fx loops, the cab Sim. Given the tone shaping capabilities why would you put it under the board plus it's pretty tall for a pedal it definitely commands a place on the top yes?Cheers for the input! Glad to hear the Bass Station is a good option though! It may be a better call, size-wise.
Because I wouldn't use a preamp in between songs pretty much ever, haha. I'd rather have it as an always-on tone enhancer/DI box, to make performance and recording easier. I don't see how having an always-on pedal taking up valuable real estate on the top of my board would be useful.Given the tone shaping capabilities why would you put it under the board plus it's pretty tall for a pedal it definitely commands a place on the top yes?
Because this pre amp is for tweaking. You need something much simpler. This box is a different beast all together.Because I wouldn't use a preamp in between songs pretty much ever, haha. Plus I don't think a board exist with that much space under it.Because I wouldn't use a preamp in between songs pretty much ever, haha. Something like this would be better MXR® THUMP™ BASS PREAMPBecause I wouldn't use a preamp in between songs pretty much ever, haha. looking at the JHS colour box my work better dimension wiseCheers for the input! You might need some interconnects and some power. However, I love the master on / off switch bottom right!
Really nice board! I'm looking to create an SA/Singular Sound board my self but still have, plenty of pieces to get but it would be far from compact.I haven't posted my board in a few months:
The heart and soul of this board is C4, Atlas, Ultrawave, Spectrum and Lunar. Everything else, mostly serves those 4.

Looking nice, you could easily mount the Neuro hub underneath. Are you doing anything for delays and verbs?Really nice board! I'm looking to create an SA/Singular Sound board my self but still have, plenty of pieces to get but it would be far from compact.

I've thought about but I'm still doing straight ahead bass, not much room until I start doing (learn) more ambient stuff...Looking nice, you could easily mount the Neuro hub underneath. Are you doing anything for delays and verbs?
