Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Still trying to keep it as small as possible...

Main setup:

Going for a more modern sound with my other project:

Both boards are powered by a Cioks DC7, but the HXS and the Strymon pedals just get moved back and forth as necessary.

How are you liking that Two-notes Revolt Bass Amp Simulator?

I talked to Justin about it and am on the fence.

So, it's about 94% of the way there. I absolutely LOVE the Clean channel. It's big, warm without being muddy, clear without being harsh. It's a fantastic clean channel. The Dirt channel is pretty damn good. It can be as subtle or obnoxious as you want. I use it quite a bit, and I can see guys using it as their main tone. The Drive channel has me baffled. I don't really know what to do with it. It's not B3k/B7k/Tech 21 dUg good, but it tries. The main issue, I think, is that the Dirt and Drive channels share an EQ. For me, what works for one channel, doesn't seem to work for the other. So, the Drive channel doesn't get any use.

Overall, I give it an A for effort, BECAUSE, if you turn the gain all the way down on the Drive channel, it sounds like the clean channel, with less booty! That might make it a good candidate to use with another drive pedal?! I'll try that when I get another free moment.

I told Justin that. I hope he's not mad at me...;):D

Have a great show tonight, bro!!

Here's today's iteration.
I'm digging the nano because I can quickly swap in and out only the pedals I need for the task at hand.

Thanks for the insightful feedback. I can see how the shared EQ could present some challenges. Have you touched base with Justin regarding that?

I have some ideas for a pedal for Justin to maybe fiddle about with. I've had a concept in mind for a few years and it just might be something he would be interested in exploring.

I am sure Justin appreciates the feedback you gave him as it's constructive and will help him focus in on the next design phase. He's a super cool dude and scary brilliant when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Thank you good sir - show went well despite serious stage issues with the mix. Definitely time for me to take corrective action via the means of and EIM at least just for my bass so I can hear it - the rest I will sort out as I go. At sound check everything was spot on; by the time we got on stage there were no vocals in the monitor, all the guitars were off volume-wise, and everything just felt wrong. Welcome to Rock-n-Roll. Apparently everything sounded good out front so there's that to be grateful for.

How is the Ashdown Sub Octave? I am GASing for one since they came out.

And this is my small pedalboard.

The Cioks doesn't fit under the pedalboard and I am trying to find a solution. My MXR Poly Blue is waiting its room in the FX loop.

My Ashdown OriginAL and Markbass Vintage Pre are used sporadically when I have to use a lot of synth effects.

What board do you have? My Sol fits flush between the rails under my Pedaltrain JR. I had assumed the under rail dimensions were the same on all the Pedaltrains, like Nano and Metro’s.

Finally, I put all the pedals I need now on one board.
My friend, at my request, remade one of his wardrobe trunks to the dimensions I needed on a barter basis - as payment, he asked me to buy him a technical hair dryer.
Now in rehearsal or at a concert or at home, I need three times less time to connect or disconnect.

Great to see somebody still using the SA Multiband Wave Bass Distortion. I have the Soundblox 2 version and I love it. I'm on the fence to get an Ultra Wave because of how much it offers but I won't get rid of my MWBA for shure.

It's great to see another guy using the Radial Stage Bug with the Stomp.
Until recently, I used a trs jack/xlr male cable to send the signal from my stomp to the PA and used a send block to the amp. I starting using this setting because my amp's xlr out has no cab sim (and with drives you need it) and it's a bit noisy.
Then, I noticed that my amp started to get noisy on certain venues, not all of them, like a high frequency hiss that was super annoying. Because it only happened on one place that we didn't play there that much, I didn't bothered much but eventually it made the same thing on another venue.
Then one time, I had to remove the xlr cable from my stomp of the mixer for some some reason and the noise just stopped. I plugged it again and the noise restarted. Therefore, I tried using the Radial Stage Bug that I always carry on my bag and connected the output of the Stomp to it and then sent the signal to the PA and no more noise. I've been doing this eversince and never got the same noise again.
If I was using the stomp to go ampless then there wouldn'd be any problem but with the amp you would probably need a ground lift option like you have with the Helix.

The ashdown really shines on the full on synth bass suboctave. I've found that when using it to add the subharmonic to the dry signal, I really need the dry all the way up, and if I'm using a passive bass, either a buffer or boost in front of it.
Overall, the tracking is pretty darn good and it's very musical, and the 2 knobs really make it easy to not overthink it, but IME the clean signal could really just be an on/off switch
