I also have one of those, but I got the 314 DI because I wanted to ground lift. This does definitely have that small form factor!

Finally upgraded my looper after 10+ years. After getting the QC, I waited some time to decide what to keep or sell off my huge space ship size board. I listed most of the pedals and board and got a great offer for the bulk of my pedals. I wasn't planning on selling my Boss RC 50 but it was a good deal and saved me time piecing everything out. Upgraded to the Cioks DC7 and have a Crux on order to power the board. It's slim enough to fit under the board versus the Strymon Ojai which didn't quite fit - the laptop power style thing was millimeters too big and it was resting on the floor. Will probably move the DC7 over a bit so it's not covering the bottom vents of the QC.
I was interested in the Singular Sound Aeros since I saw it and decided to go for it. Super happy with it and all that it does. What a powerful yet tiny looper. I was hesitant about the lack of switches but it's easy to use hands free, navigate and has more to offer than I had on the Boss. I'm still learning it but what better way to learn than on a gig! I am in the middle of a series of live looping dates put on by my local library and took the chance with a week to learn and perform with it. The pressure to learn it definitely helps and I feel really comfortable with it so we'll see how it goes.
Signal path: Temple 4 way is my in to the QC. Another I/O is used to plug in my in ears for monitoring and click from the Aeros. The Aeros lives in the loop of the QC so I can process the loops as well. I have a basic reverb on them to feel more glued together and not so sterile as well as some fun FXs for certain parts. This also keeps things simple as I mix my lead and the loops in the QC to one out up my speaker. Dunlop is hooked up as an expression to the QC. I was using a DOD Volume Mini as an expression which worked fine but it took a y cable which was super short and it had to be to the left of the QC which was a little weird. The Dunlop works better and is a better size.

Latest compact board I had before making the switch to the QC.

I’ve heard the Plumes is optimized for guitar and loses low end. BUT, The “JohnK Plumes” optimized for bass is pretty great as he’s found a way to optimize the low end so you don’t lose any bottom and still can use the tone knob to shape your sound. I actually haven’t been using any dirt lately, so I’m considering selling/trading my JohnK Bass Plumes. What did you think of the Plumes? I have a real off/on relationship with this pedal

...JohnK Rules!

I haven't had issues with the DI when in the studio or live, but at home when I plugged it in between my bass and my amp head I got such horrible noise that I had to mic my cab up instead. Haven't had the time or energy to figure out why.I haven’t tried the stagebug, but I’ve been using the Switchcraft 314 DI for a couple of years now with no worries. The performance and form factor are hard to beat for sure.

Just added the Strymon Cloudburst to one of my small pedalboards. Placed it in the effects loop of my (prototype Bergantino Super Pre) preamp…View attachment 4961068
I’m hearing the Bergantino preamp is being released this month…fingers crossed! Really liking this reverb so far! These three pedals fit perfectly on my TA Solo18—not too tight—can still see LEDs thru some holes…
That was just after I put the Belle on (the very last to join the party); these are the current settings I'm using, since I've learned some folks here like to lurk what others are doing...

That board is enormous - all the hahahahaha - sorry, couldn't help it. That's classic!Compact you said ?
That's a really nice board. The settings on the UA look pretty scooped. I use mine with mids at max, treble and bass at 9:00....still mid scooped but a little less (with passive basses) and then I like to push low mids on my amp to compensate. What kind of music are you playing? Remember the Fender (UA) tone stack is flat with mids at max and bass/treble at zero, and cannot actually push mids. I can easily get lost in a mix if I push too much treble or bass and don't compensate at the amp stage, unless I am pushing the UA gain high enough to get really hairy.
I picked up this cute A-B switch on my pedalboard from Loop-Master after seeing one on Alejandra Villarreal's pedal board. It works great to swap between my sax preamp and bass. But it was looking a little plain. So this is not exactly compact, but it is serving two purposes.
I thought it would be fun to have a pedal train that would be interesting to try out for both my bass and my woodwinds.
The ART Tube MP takes mic (SM57) signal from my saxes and bass clarinet.
A simple Loop-Master A-B switch to go between the instruments feeding the tuner.
Then it goes Quint -> Drive -> Chorus -> Reverb -> M81 (although this box just quit so is out of the current signal chain until I can diagnose).
This is a real hoot for sax. The Quint tracks far better than I expected and gives a great pipe organ sound. The Chorus and Reverb do just what I expected. The distortion has a real struggle to give me much more than a lot of feedback. Working on improving the sax-mic interface (without drilling into a $700 neck for a pickup).
It is also instructional for me to learn how these effects work with bass.

Awesome setup. Plus Sherwood Green is the best. AVRI?hello sirs! changed my ojai to a rechargeble pedlatrain volto and finally got a pedaltrain nano that took the place of an amazon compact board (the last pic is the previous before it got switched out) . for volto users out there, how long does it stays charge? i just gotvit and havent used it yet and im not a working musician but have gigs here and there so hopefully it stays charged for at least 4 hours for playtime. cheers!View attachment 4961445 View attachment 4961447 View attachment 4961454
