Show me your compact pedalboard setup

New IE board!

There may be a point deduction for having the tuner roam free out there?

Tuner is 100% on the board, you just can’t see the end in the pic.

I wonder whether you could get the thickening your DCX is giving you with some slight turns of the Jr.'s Low EQ and HPF ;)

I don’t actually have it set like that haha, took the picture after putting it together but before knob twiddling. DCX is used for slight OD.

I cleaned up my board today. No gigs this weekend, so I figured it was a good time to do so. Originally, I had the Noble facing sideways. This was due to fitment issues with the power cables and the patch cable between the Morley and Noble. I got it to where I’m happy with it again. Sideways pedals on my boards drive me crazy.

If I absolutely had to keep it sideways, that might have justified another pedal to deal with the gap I would have had. I was thinking a C4 Synth and maybe even a DMC Micro for it. I would have had the capability since there are two more ports on the Noble to power them.

Maybe that will happen in the future.

Bonus picture showing my board’s humble abode!

Got a new Pedalpad board because I was tired of dealing with Pedaltrains and wanted a simpler solution. It's 20x7 and finished in Mesa Black Tolex.

On the pedals, I went from individual pedals, to an HX One, to the Stomp... I'm finally digging in and being determined to embrace the HX Stomp. If I'm noodling around, I don't mind the controls, and for the random gig, I'll learn presets. I did order a 2-button switch for the stomp that'll be in next week. Also, I'll tidy up the cables a bit more when I find my box o' EBS cables still in the basement somewhere (recent move)

I use the stomp for most everything except drive, Alpha Omega for a bit of aggression, and the SGT-DI as a more dedicated dirt/DI pedal. In a pinch, if things go sideways, I can move one cable, go straight into the SGT, and finish out wherever I'm playing.

Interesting, since Ive heard great things about the stomp’s Ampeg svt emulation.

it does have great emulation… but there’s a part of me that always thinks worst case scenario… I’ll do something stupid that’ll brick the stomp or get me where I don’t want to be and need an alternate amp sim ASAP.

It’s not a distrust of technology but a distrust of myself with technology. I came from IT and like redundancy.

That makes a ton of sense, thanks!

CEH here --- so I like the way you think about future-proof setups in case of "woops". Anymore details on the actual board? Is that a custom design by you?

Glad somebody else gets it! I live for redundancy. I played a church youth event two years ago about four hours from my house… our acoustic player’s DI crapped out, luckily I had a spare MXR Bass Preamp that got us through as a makeshift DI.

The board is a PedalPad. Everything they do is custom. Great folks to work with! You can choose size / cutouts / jacks / etc. They run sales pretty regularly too.
