Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Picked up one of the JHS Punchlines, and I really like it. I don’t love setting things directly on the floor, or jacking in and out of pedals if I can avoid it, so I did this:

It’s a Mono Rise+. I might stick a Mission Engineering 529M underneath for the option to run it off a battery pack or wall adapter.
I actually mounted that style rig on the top of a DC7 and had it sitting on the floor with small rubber feet. It's the minimalist par excellence of rigs!

I know the board is never complete, but with the added (Dave Lowell build) Nobelium, it sure feels like it's done.

Nice! Is that the Voodoo lab small board? I just moved from the tiny to the small to accommodate the Noble. It's a little taller than the tiny and than I had anticipated but it's all good and I could probably squeeze one more pedal in if something struck me

Pedalboard rebuild #47853.2

Had some NASTY hum during soundcheck of my last show...I tried all the usual suspects...cables, power strips, outlets etc...

Ultimately the sound guy tossed me a IMP2, I tossed it in line, lifted the ground and voila, hum gone...

It was my first time playing this bar, and the first time I've had a hum issue with my HXS, but it was aggravating enough to add a DI to my board, so it never happens again.

So, the comp came off, the Blower Box came off, and a Radial ProDI & mini patchbay went on (right side is input, and the left side is output fed from the “Thru” on the ProDI for the rare occasion I actually use a stage amp).

So far I'm loving this new setup, the HXS does almost all the lifting, and it's a simple "plug in and go" rig now....I do miss the outboard comp & Blower Box, but I've got the HXS “Deluxe Comp” and “Obsidian 7000” working well enough for what I need...I doubt anybody in the crowd would ever even notice the difference.

Also, a Pedaltrain dual pedal booster fits a Rockboard Duo 2.1 perfectly...it got my other important buttons up and even with the Stomp.

What distortion type are you using on the MWBD? I'm thinking about putting my soundblox2 on my pedalboard to try your settings, as I've never really liked any of mine

Forget the knob settings in the pic. They're all jacked up.

I use #3 for an octave up, #4 for octave with envelope, and #15 for straight distortion. The reason I got into the Ultrawave was because I was always turning knobs for different songs and just wanted presets. But then I'd kick a knob with my foot or something wouldn't sound right at a gig. So I'm going back to the Multiwave. It just sounds great.

Getting the new board ready for this weekend rehearsal. I ditched the Nano and changed pretty much everything!

I just received the Dizzy Tone, and it rips :bassist:. It's from this spring OC44 release. Only drawback is that it cannot be daisy chained so I have to remember to unplug it to save the battery.

Not sure if guitarists in the band are going to like the Telez eating their distortion for breakfast :D. Hopefully it works well in the mix.

I had also planned to put a HPF but some pro Tetris will be necessary.

Another iteration of my pedalboard. Just added an XO variable crossover pedal and I love what it does for my tone. I know I will probably keep tinkering with it, but I feel like I have got a solid set of tonal options with this board.

Great board….however I think we need to collectively agree on what “compact” means in this thread:)

Maybe it's about time to remind what the OP is looking for.
Excerpts from post#1:
Like the title suggests, I want to see pictures of small tight boards. ...
... I don't plan on using much more than 3 effects (at most) ...
..Suggestions and pics please...

This thread has been going on for a while - I was posting based on the title rather than the OP statement. Happy to post my board in more appropriate threads.

For what it is worth, here is the definition of compact: closely and neatly packed together, dense.

I'm with you! I have a Nano pedalboard, which is smaller physically than this one (so more compact in one sense), but this one is more tightly packed/dense than the Nano (so more compact in another sense). The Nano is for flyout gigs, but this Metro 16 is my main gigging board.

Actually, let's put it to the group.... Which board is more compact; that one, or this Nano?

I like this thread whatever.

what I like about it is whether it’s 3 pedals or squeezing 12 in it’s a attempt to limit the size down to do a certain level - there’s other threads where you can see boards the size of aircraft carriers, and often with all the new trendy pedals - which is fine,
but this thread ppl only stick it on if it’s used for something- and folk are more likely to be doing that to actually gig them - so you have a selection of used boards with a range of new to old pedals….which for me is way more interesting
