Show me your compact pedalboard setup

My latest board. With the A/B’s I’ve got one path for the multi, and one for a Tool/distortion path. I’m thinking of swapping the GT-1000 Core for a HX Stomp, but in no real hurry.

thinking of selling the Cog? I've been looking for one
I don’t think so, it’s great and handy to keep something in this size/footprint, but I have a 1590a BB Bass Pre clone on the way which better suits the needs of this board.
If I do sell the COG, it won’t be too cheap, and with me being in the UK, might make it restrictive for you.

Cheers

My latest incarnation….
I put the hp/lp first, is there an advantage or disadvantage to where it sits in the path?
Edit: And yes SansAmp just sounds great in the FOH, through just about any pa or bass. For as long as they have been out, I have no reason to “experiment” or fiddle with other brands, like I do with just about every other type of gear:)

Moving from right to left, I've been finding that the last three pedals are pretty static, while ill swap out the first two depending on the rig I take. Not everything benefits from a hp/lp filter for example. I really like the Alma, but have an Empress Comp on the way, ill prob sell the Alma as I just have a few too many comps at the moment:)

Same board loaded with the revolt now.

The ultimate fly rig.

How are u liking the Revolt, paired with your Opus? Iv used a Revolt as my "tone centre ", I use , and love all 3 channels, but I'm thinking the opus adding a tube output, + eq, + better & varied cab sims, would "ice the cake". I don't do any recording nowadays, just rehearsals, and gigs. Obviously it's the front house is going to benefit from adding opus. Do u gig with your rig?, Do u think the opus makes a real world difference to F/H, or not much really?
Cheers Mate.

I love it!! Puts that extra warmth with the tube emulation. I do play with the opus itself and it's good, but paired with the Revolt it's a proper rig and the sounds, especially the dirt and drive are much better. The midi control between the revolt and the opus is seamless so you have 3 separate power and cab sim options. I would imagine it would make a huge difference to FOH. I only play in my studio though.

It's more like the icing and the rest of the cake flavor.

My use case isn't *quite* an apples-to-apples comparison with regards to your question, but it's pretty close I think. Instead of an Opus, I have a CAB M+, and instead of a ReVolt, I have a Sushi Box (tube preamp); the combination of the two is a perfect "amp-in-a-box" scenario for gigging, and is equally flexible being an IEM rig, or using an amp/cab on stage, and having the CAB be my DI box live. For touring/international gigs, I only bring my Nano pedalboard, and the CAB; for those gigs, any amp on stage is just there to help me feel the low end. I'm generally provided a monitor at my feet, sending me the bass sound from the FOH board. Since going the Sushi/CAB route, it actually sounds like "me" no matter what room I'm playing in, and stuff like overdrive generally sounds much more pleasant (a lot of FOH techs don't seem to apply proper LPF to bass signals, so drive often feels really harsh and nasty).

Thank you both for your experiences. I have been toying with going full digital, hx stomp, or new nano cortex. So convenient,
tiny.. .But I'm coming back to keeping my analogue pedals, and just adding a digital "end" (probably the newer opus, but, iv seen a few s/h cabm+'s at good prices..)
Deep down, I know I would never be happy with digital "everything " unit..

The Opus suits me more, but I could live with a cabm+. It comes down to $s. In Australia 🇦🇺, iv seen a few s/h cabm+ for less than half , what an Opus goes for. Just means I'll have to wait a little, iv spent a small fortune on bass gear in last 2 yrs (I only started playing bass then, after over 50yrs "strangling " it's 6str little brother)
I'm absolutely loving "bass", and playing live again..thought those days were well and truly OVER...

Last board at least for now, I had some leftover around from my previous builds, my second board ended up being bigger than I expected ( it was supposed to be a fly friendly board 😀) so I decided to really do that so I got the nano but the microbass and mxr vintage octave, so I saw u just had run for 2 more pedals similar to do mxr.

Got the tonex one to use as sim/ir and the HPF ( I just love to cut those sub frequencies at the beginning everything just sound and works better.

Pedal chain:
HPF —> MXR vintage octave —> EBS input —> tonex one into the loop of the EBS.

So far happy with the result and I’m done.
For now…😎

NPD and Updated my board. This Neptunium sounds massive and perfect for my AV II Precision. No low rumble as you boost the bass knob. Really clean, just the way I like it. It’s more of a feel thing which I think is the difference between the Regal from the Stomp and the Neptunium. My friend whom I got this from and has a Noble says it’s really really close. Replaced my Capo for this one. I use the Stomp to drive the Neptunium and other wet FX. Still keeping my board nano sized.
