Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Jazzablanca board 3-25.jpg
This did the duty for my jazz thing into a Polytone Mini Brute III. Used the zoom for swells, chorus, flanger, octave up and 2 octaves up plus a couple of synth sounds. The @Sushi Box FX Bass Dude for when I wanted a bit of old school crunch or volume boost.

Be careful with the HULK...

you can blow up your 1x12" combo...!

The 30/60 Hz trim pots are volume controls (kinda like EQ sliders, but only boost) that add more gain in those two frequency points to create earthshaking low-end BOOM! 🤯

You will never REALLY feel the FULL effect of the HULK without a SUB or two...

I noticed I never took my pedal board to gigs anymore. If I do need extra effects, I always bring my Helix. So I downsized a lot in the last few days; sold my reverb and chorus, put my octaver and fuzz up for sale, and now this is left:

The blank pedal is a custom built Tubescreamer copy, voiced for bass. And yes, I have straightened the position of the Cali
;)

in the pedal cabinet waiting for rotation. Pls dont hate me cuz i have decent gear as i was inspired by you folks too. thanks for the kindness And lets continue to inspire one another to be better musicians and be a better person

Wow, that is a nice collection. Proof that hanging out on TB is dangerous!

Wonder what it would cost to replace that collection :)

Lol, I pity the fool that would Dare tread those waters. The Man is a kind soul with an even more impressive Gun collection 😅

I’ve been pleased with using the CIOKS supplies under my couple of boards. But, a recent post brought to my attention the recent supplies, which have merged the rechargeable lithium power bricks with the 9VDC supplies.

Such as:

I’m all for eliminating the power supply cord at the gig. Anyone have any downside experience with these products?
I went ahead with this plugless concept; and here is the result.

The power bank is 40,000 mAH, and seems like it will go 5 or 6 shows between charges. I have quite a few gigs this year, which will be served by my passive Fender P; and this board is perfect for that bass. Can’t wait.

Just a quick shot of my compact pedal setup. Sitting at home in front of my Spark guitar amp. I went with the Nu-x two layer because I wanted to keep the Tetra Venue controller for our lights and my Shure wireless receiver out of the way of my clumsy feet. There is a foot switch that works with the controller so keeping it close makes it a quick connect.

Not much for pedals, from right to left, pedal tuner, Boss EQ, and TC electronics Sub n up pedal.

I do love convenience of this setup. Power it up, run one cable to my bass amp and one to the light foot switch. Done.

@5stringwonder how have you been liking the Tubedrve? I've been starting to mess with mine more and I really like the warmth and crunch I get out, but I've been noticing a little loss in the low end. Still trying to feel out how noticeable it will be in a live setting, or if it's worth opening the can of worms around adding a blend pedal to the setup.

That's pretty cool! What power bank did you go with?

I’m using this one:

….which oddly became unavailable after I received it. It does work very well, FWIW. Except, I had to put larger feet on the cheap pedal board to accommodate.

I also got this one as a backup:

…it appears to not need the larger feet, and would probably be just fine.

Thanks! Please keep us updated on how it works.
