I know I've said this lie too many times but... I think I have completed my pedalboard (for now). But I am really proud of it.
With the Rolls: I hadn't used the Rolls for a couple of years. I even thought about selling it. Luckily, I didn't. Let me tell you what happened in my last gig. We were playing at 9 pm last Saturday. Guitarist called at 11 am saying that he can't play because he is sick (he has a strange dissease). He couldn't even stand up. So, we had to call a friend of mine who had joined the band a week ago to cover him. He had to learn 24 songs for the gig. He did pretty good. But anyway, we all have in ears for this band. We thought that the venue probably had monitor wedges... but htey didn't. Luckily, I thought about that possibility and I took my Rolls with me. Knowing that my friend didn't have IEMs, I took cables. I lent him my wireless IEM and I used the Rolls with cables. I heard everyone perfectly. I will never leave my Rolls at home again.
Besides, if I am not going wireless with my bass, I will use wired IEMs. I have built a dual cable to do so.
Anyway, Cioks SOL underneath powering everything: Boss TU3w--> Cali76-->HX Stomp-->Canvas DI. From the HX Stomp I take another output to the Rolls. I know I could use The Rolls as a DI and not use the Canvas, but I use it as a Line Isolator and works perfectly. I prefer the Canvas.
In case I need to go wireless, The Boss can power my Relay G10sII or I can use the Fender Telepath, which works great. Then, from the Rolls, I use the headphones out to my Sennheiser XSW. Not ideal, but it works.
Without the Rolls: this will be my usual pedalboard. In most of my gigs, I have a monitor guy or I can make my own monitors with my ipad, so I don't really need the Rolls. The D'addario XPND really works great.
