Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I've done the exact same thing. After lugging around massive boards with pedals that would only be used once in a blue moon, and even then my bandmates had no idea I did anything different (let alone the crowd...), I landed on this board:

I also carry around a JDI for when I need it. This gets everything done for me now and it is one of the best tones I've ever had (again, not that anyone other than me would notice).
Was really curious about the Free the Tone EQ as I think it would be great to have adjustable eq curves on the fly! Like say you want a reggae or Sublime what I got tone for a live tune, then a song or 2 later you go into something more modern like RHCP where round won't work quite so well. This would be perfect, as I can never remember to adjust all that crap live, and I wouldn't want to TBH. Do you have any vids/ or sound bites of you using this pedal?

I think it’s crazy how much a board can change in a small amount of time. Simpler board for a simpler set up. Use the Colour Box as my main tone. Instead of the Origin Effects Compact Bass, I went for the Compact Deluxe. Lightspeed for light dirt. Pink panther and astronomer for fun. Overall really enjoying the sound I’m getting or can get from this.
Oh man always wanted to get that JHS neve sound as a kinda driver for gritty tone....never pulled on it though..:(

I was messing around with pedalboardbuilder website, and for some reason became fascinated with how many mini pedals I could fit on a Nano+. I cam up with this:

And just like that, I had to build it. So I'll admit, I put this together just to see if I could do it.
And I couldn't get to nine--only eight, and only after I discovered EBS flat patch cables... :)

After I built it, I ended up practicing with it because it was so handy in our cramped rehearsal space, and most importantly, it works and sounds great. :)

Country band board:

Also curious, with your blend off, what actual pedal character traits do you need from the pedal anyway? no bite, no cab sim.....no drive....just wondering what your starting with in the first place..rig wise as well?

TC Electronics appreciates your support. ;)
I think you might be able to squeeze a couple more in there if you really try.

Glad I pulled through. I’ve been using it for just a light gain drive. The bass eq point can be a little tricky at times. But I’ve actually rearranged my board since then, trying out the JHS Colour Box for fuzzy tones into a MXR Bass Preamp (clean) and then have a Darkglass B7K for driven tones. I think I may have too many preamps.

Nonsense! You can't have too many preamps....hahaha

The only new pedal on that board is the sub'n'up mini, and only because I built this as that pedal was being released. So no used ones possible... But yeah, even at $50 a pop, it added up quick!!!

As for more pedals, I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I wasn't--I really did try! I just couldn't figure a way to fit another--I already had to stagger them a little just to squeeze a bit more. Besides, that would also imply a different or additional power supply as I only had an 8-port Daisy chain...

I'm using two basses connected through the Bigshot switcher - A 5 string Ric and a Custom fretless.

The Ric sounds great just by itself. The fretless needs some help so the VT adds a little boost and tone control. The rig I was using is an Ampeg that is at the practice space. I'll be bringing my PF-800 and 2 cabs 2x10's next practice.

SUGGESTION! I finally put my sub'n'up AFTER my drive pedals,(currently using the VT DI as well) ...ahhh!!!! It really cleans everything up.....the octaves play heck on the drive circuits. Try it! You'll thank me!

I'll have to give that a try. Though I recently swapped the Sub'n'up for a Dreamscape. Frankly, I don't really have a need for either one in the band I'm currently in, though I may end up using one or the other for a couple of songs. I may even be able to squeeze in both.
