show me your midnight wine bass

hi there,
I am contemplating on buying myself a new fender jazz bass, i am considering geting a midnight wine finish.
lets see some pictures of custom midnight wine basses.

Oh man, I just put a black pickguard on my midnight wine MIM Jazz, and it looks sharp. My guitarist said "the only thing that could really compare is Natalie Portman in panties". Once I get hold of a camera, I'll get a picture up.

Sorry I can't post a photo tonight but my favorite Midnight Wine build was an unlined ebonal neck with black pickguard. The black parts made the bass look long, low, and mean...like a badass chopper. The wine color popped more than with a white guard.

'98 American Standard Jazz. I've added a hipshot detuner, 60s CS pickups, and series/parallel and phase switching.

I've never cared much for the color.

Hmm... It does look better with a black guard. I've thought about doing that to mine for a long time. If those pictures capture the color accurately, my midnight wine is a lot more purple than yours.

Midnight wine is a gorgeous colour. I love the black pickguards. I think they'd look awesome with a maple neck with pearl blocks and a telebass headstock... But, um, maybe that's just me. Sorry I don't have any such bass to post pictures of, I just really love the colour.
