here's a cpl of PJ builds i did recently.....nothing flashy.....Gold with FCS 63's and the Oly White with Barts and hipshot hardware.
Modded Squier Mini 28.6" P bass. Only original parts used were the body & neck

2007 Fender USA body mated to a late 70's Mighty Mite fretless neck from the Jackson/Charvel co. based on a '62 Fender specification (Jaco neck).
2010 Fender MIM body with an All Parts chunky C bound and blocked neck
1997 Fender body mated with an All Parts reverse neck, strung BEAD

My number 1, a 90’s Jazz neck on a warmoth body with an EMG Geezer pickup.
Couple of things, those are the most bizarre P pickups I have ever seen I’ve never seen a set with rectangle pole pieces before, how do they sound? Are they still passive or did you go the active route?Modded Squier Mini 28.6" P bass. Only original parts used were the body & neck
Second are those luminlay dots on the side of the neck or did you get creative with some glow in the dark paint? Either way they look cool AF.
Also 28.6” Scale for the win, I absolutely love my 28.6” Ibanez Mikro’s they feel like I’m being spoilt in terms of comfort compared to my bigger basses which is why I’ve gone all in on the short scale life. My short scale P bass clone is a 30” scale which isn’t bad but still not as comfortable as the Ibanez’s.

I added the Luminlay side dots to the neck when I had it unassembled. The Nordy Power Blade pickups really sound great IMO. I like the blade style pole pieces cause it doesn't matter how the string spacing is and it sounds like a nice P Bass... Here is a video I did with it.

This is the "Marvin the Martian" bass (from page 1 of this thread), a modified Ray 5. I recall I got a deal on it because it was a scratch 'n dent. I took out the active electronics because I didn't like them. I moved the jack to the side of the instrument (where it belongs) added a pickup and had a custom pickguard made. Also notice the pearl top knobs. I have since added two toggle switches so I can go from single/humbucker. I forget what kind of strings are on it now.
As you can tell I like to tinker.

It is quite possibly the only U.S. one in that finish (I've seen an NJ with that finish). It is the original finish.

Precision bass with T-Bird pickkups is one of my favorite looks. Something so classic about it.
It's a bit weighty, but it's got a tone to match.
The work was done by Mike Lull back in '14.
The bass is (was) a Fender American Hot-Rod Precision (P/J pickups)
the electronics were a victim of a previous DIY project gone wrong
so rather than replace it as stock, I added a Nordstrand 4 coil pickup wired as 2 separate pickups, and a separate preamp for each side. Way more versatile than stock!
