Onboard effects have been done. It's never as smooth and easy as a pedal.

It wasn’t my first option, I was thinking on a Aguilar Chorusaurus but this MXR came up as a trade option when I put on sale my Boss Loop Station RC-1. It seemed like a good deal so I went on it.
Nevertheless, it’s a solid, very versatile chorus effect, and the X-Over and Flanger controls are very useful, the cherry on the pie!
I would really recommend this pedal, it works great.
Looks like fun (for you *and* the pets! Lol); all the essential things appear to be there. I'd perhaps suggest swapping the overdrive and the envelope filter around, though. Running octave > distortion > filter > chorus is a classic modular synth chain. There's no right or wrong way to run pedals, of course. Just a friendly suggestion
Stacked Cali76 is fantastic. I’m doing the battle right now if it goes on my guitar board or I buy a second one.
I use the same board for bass and pedal steel. Guitar I run through a Kemper.

I’ve heard this before but I don’t want to lose the Octave-Envelope Filter combo!

Update! Decided to downsize to the metro 16 Pedaltrain, upgrade the Ampeg SGT-DI for the noble, and replace the Mxr bass octave deluxe with the 3leaf Octabvre. This compact board is absolutely amazing.
That is a work of art, and covers so much sonic territory. Had a similar board in the past but with a SLO instead of a Noble, 'cause, ya know, funds lol.

Haha, your Noble settings are the opposite of mine. You have Treble high, Bass low, HPF off, Volume max. I have Treble low, Bass high, HPF on, Volume lower. So interesting how our ears work!
Thanks. I absolutely love the stacked Cali76 for bass. I can dial it in to both enrich the sustain as well as contain the outer edge of the dynamic spectrum. The outcome is super velvety.
