Show me your wood!

the look of this naked Peavey Scorpion BXP in the ad had it's hooks in me for the many months it took to get my mitts on her, and after 2 months of honeymoon it only gets better every time I pick this little rocker up, especially after making the best of an odd situation by doweling / staining the inner scratchplate screw holes and replacing the outer screws with reflective studs that keep the industrial bling but lay flush with the top. that's all well but I can't say enuf how awesome this petite asskicker is, it's my new fave in a pile of favorites for all the right reasons. these really flew by under the radar and paid off huge as an impulse buy, they go for peanuts, do y'self a favor and snag one.

Just for fun, post a photo or two of your open grained or wood stained bass (no painted or otherwise solid colored basses).

In other words, lets see that grain!
Stained is fine, so long as your bass shows the grain.
I just want to see who else is owning sexy woody basses.

Ovangkol body/neck
Wenge fretboard

(refinished with mahogany and ebony stain; first one then the other; light poly coat on body only).
