It's an 83 Ibanez Roadstar. RB620 is the model I believe. It's a sweet bass. The neck is amazing.

Pat Wilkins did this beautiful trans brown-burst finish on my '66 Tempo - mahogany core with maple top & back. It's like waves in water as you walk past it and the grain looks like it glows from within with a flash pic. It's not an exotic bass or crazy grain - but for it's humble simplicity, it's kinda magical visually. I didn't anticipate it looking as good as it turned out.

The unlined fretless TWB was sold.
The fretted TWB has been defretted.
The BTB is tuned in fifths and gold hardware installed.
And an N/S Stick was acquired.
All in natural wood finish.
Walnut and Ovangkol respectively.

yes - the body is a slightly different version of my full custom designed, built & finished SuperB 5'r and Super SLX. The neck on it was a (provided) generic maple neck - it was a commission.

It's not my most playable bass (the neck is a little bit too wide for me; plus the thing is heavy), but I love how it sounds. It is often referred to as a 'Stingray' killer, but for me, it is its own beast.
