So, what, $575 for a complete, killer rig! Plug and Play!

I picked up the GK head from a guy who was having problems with it, so I got it cheap. I opened it up and tightened a few rectifier screws. Works perfectly.
I got the ADA from a guy who was so embarassed when I showed up and it wouldn't work, that he said "just take it". I gave him $20 and found that the EV speaker (300W) was blown. I picked up a used EV 200W for $60. It's an 8 ohm cab.
Just picked up the Avatar so my son would have something for an audition and it needed to fit in my car (left the Ampeg PR 410 at home). It's a 500W, 4 ohm cab.
Picked up the Jazz along with a P Deluxe without a neck for $400. Put the Jazz neck on the P body and sold it for $350, so I had a $50 Jazz body hanging around. I picked up the neck last night for $60.

I'm running the 8 ohm ADA into the 8 ohm, 100W "HI" output on the GK, and the Avatar into the 300W "LO" output. I have the choice of either bi-amp or full-range mode.

This is quite a monster of a mini-rig. I can fit it in my Corolla along with everything else my son needs for a gig (except backup).
All got off Craigslist, SF Bay Area. The deals are out there (if you're patient, discerning, and can do a little light electronic work)!

Edit: I've recently traded the bass for a Dean EUB, so let's call that a $400 rig.

So yeah, I finally got a digital camera, so I can actually post pictures of my gear on here. I'm almost always broke(young, married, with a child), so just about all of my gear is either cheap or I bought it used. My amp is a Behringer BX3000T that I bought for $120, with a Carvin 15" speaker in a Rogue cabinet. I'm planning on buying a 4X10 cab and buying an empty 2X15 cab so that I can install the other Carvin speaker I have, but that will have to wait a little while.

My Cheapo rig (old picture).
The Kustom 2x15 was $300, the tube preamp (TB RAXX) was $75, the QSC 850 power amp was $150 new (store going out of business). Total cost $525. It's running 850 Watts bridged into the 2x15.

The preamp/power deal has been replace with a Hughes and Kettner Quantum QT600 in my rig now though, I obtained the QT600 via a trade. Still have the preamp and power amp though, I guess it's now my backup.
