Some combination of the following, most usually the Mesa M9 with the AE212:

Sabbath tribute gig I did this friday. My acoustic 370 was in the shop for some cleaning and I was too busy/lazy to get it so I borrowed my old rack from my friend whom I sold it to.
Its tone was to die for but it was a huge hassle to carry and transport... too heavy (the rack). heritage is a real pleasure to deal with and move around.

Please, elaborate.

If you run two different cabs from the same heads, they might not be moving in unison, and where they are out of unison, they will interfere destructively, in the sense of that frequency will be attenuated, which acts like an EQ notch, that notch might be in a place that totally guts your sound. Hence the rule 'If you like the sound of your cab but want louder, get another the same, if you don't like the sound of the cab you have, get a different cab'.

2x12 still has a port, which if active will be kicking out lows in the frequency band of the 18, which can cause the phase issues. If you are using it for highs only, then its huge overkill, since it is clearly deigned to do lows alone, and compromised higher up because of that (although compromise will mostly be size and weight). Are you sure the 18 actually goes lower than the 2x12?
