looks decent, you could maybe put in something about the band (e.g. local old school rock band reminding parents why not to hate their kids)

Yeah... I struggled with that too, but there is a dearth of decent shots of our whole band... Besides, I'm content to be one of the blurry guys in the back. *

I like the later: it shows more who you guys are.. I'd think that the group in the first pic is typical standard young rock band.

I assume you do country&western-kinda stuff 'cause that's what the poster looks like

Hell... We don't even know what kind of a band we are...

We are an original band, some country, some rock, some brit-pop... So really, both posters give the correct impression.

What do you guys think about having one master poster with a blank text box space for multiple uses, just write in the date and venue?

For a steady gig, a standard poster might be nice...

I would want a unique poster for any big show at a new club you might get.

We don't make a lot of posters, probably around 20, and put them up in strategic spots (i.e. cafes that know us, the local university where the guitarist works, etc.) so we can make them quite elaborate and we don't have to worry about repro costs.

If I was doing the whole plaster the city with my gig poster thing I would probably want to streamline the production...

I'm diggin' on that drummer poster. Very cool pic, looks very professional too. Perhaps you could tune the text a bit though, looks a tad plain..

Change the font to a bit smoother one and add "at" in front of the gig place, perhaps? Also, I would perhaps put the date in front of the place..
