That's a possibility but after playing this set up with the full band tonight I need to rethink the wiring. The sound was way too brittle and shallow on the high end.

You might want to think about three individual volume controls and a master tone. What you give up in "oomph" (not much), you make up in the ability to blend your pickups and shape your tone.

Yes, just switches. I thought I'd lose to much with 3 250k volume pots and I'm trying to do this with parts I have lying around.

I like the 3 way/T/V setup on my PJ so I might just move the switches to the pickguard and add on a tone and volume control.

Though it isn't a three pickup configuration, I was messing with the idea of a double P pickup set-up awhile back (last year):

The controls are to be passive; Vol./ Vol./ Tone with the addition of two on/on/on toggle switches placed in line & just in front of the tone control. There will be a Volume control & coil select switch for each pickup with a master tone.

This bass ended up getting a single Peavey T-40 pickup (They Rock!) with passive Vol. (w/ push-pull coil tap) & tone controls, but I have five more of these coming through & one of them will definitely end up with this set up.

I guess I could add an additional set of P pickups... It could be a Derek Smalls signature model

I found a neck and body of Epiphone Toby IV and launched the process

It is a model that I build. It is based on a PRS Santana (which is based on a L.P. Jr.).

Here's one completed.

If you were asking what type of wood it is, that particular body is cypress, the completed bass is swamp ash.

As a matter of fact it *is* a bit off... The Luthier messed up a tiny tad... I'm not too hard on this, it's a body and neck I bought for next to nothing, just to get me started on the project.

I sanded the body just a bit, then tried to put on a blue polish cream on . Didn't work too good.

So I sanded it again, and tried to apply some primer coat.

But the primer almost fell off (it was a very old bottle I had. )

SOoooo, a Re re sanded it and went for bomb painting. Blue, bleck and blue.
And, OF COURSE, I ran out of blue paint...

But I fanially managed to have an almost not too shabby look on the front side.
So I put on the Tree Of Life Stickers and bolted the neck to see if it was OK.

As for the electronics :
Three DiMarzios UltraJazz (yes, I know, loud )
With 500k PushPull volume for each (so I can mess with the phases of each P'up)
One 500k tonality with an OrangeDrop Condenser 22µF (not sure if it is really that much of a difference, but it looks cool)
Gotoh GB707 Tuners

I was asked to post this here. 2012 Gibson Grabber G3 70's Tribute bass. It's a tone monster. Picked it up for $750CAD a couple of months ago. Pretty sweet bass for the price.
