I did a search and was a little surprised that I couldn't find a "cool straps" thread....

In case there is, and I'm just too stupid to find it....Sorry........

I'll kick off with this one.....

For sure there are a couple cool strap threads going. I'm way too lazy to search for em, but I got the energy to repost 2 of mine (by Ape Leather of Los Angeles)

Edit: and shucks, I did just get a new one recently with no hard hardware on it, but wouldn't you know it the one day in the last 6 months that I left my Spector at the rehearsal space was last nite! I'll be running down there shortly for it ... I've already got seperation anxiety

New one is also wide, with silver on black. Has a handy dandy little pick holster on one end.

Almost forgot about the padded purple leopard. That was my first one and remains on my starter bass >

Ya know, there was almost another! A few weeks ago I went with a mate to The Guitar Store, where they had a lot of rad wide straps ... I'm talking sparkly purple , raised fuzzy leopard , etc with a sign that said 'buy 2 get 1 free' and I saw a $45 price tag on the black & silver one. That night I thought spending 90 beans for those 3 straps was a helluva deal, so I went back the next day to find out that both the purple & leopard ones had $85 price tags which I couldn't justify since I already have the coolest strap in known existence (see post #2.)

Apparently sparkle & raised fur command a much higher price. Or maybe it was real leopard

Not very "flashy", but since I made it myself, it's awesome! It's 4" wide and really spreads the load.
