Paris Hilton defines this as hot!
I do also find the Oly White version more than fetching. I hope you have a creamy colored suit for stage appearances with it!Here is my 2012 American Vintage ‘58 Precision Bass ! View attachment 7242608
That’s hot too. Very rare to see someone go for it on a Jazz. Good job BFU!I didn't see the OP requirement that it had to be a P bass. So, here's my Frankenbass entry with gold anodized worn loud and proud.
I love this bass, looks and feel and sound. It's a pleasure to play.

This is the Subaru WRX of bass!RondoMusic Hadean 21" scale bass uke, Chinese knockoff import, Hofner violin style. Eric's Guitar Shop made the gold pickguard and truss rod cover, replaced the floating wood bridge and piezo saddle pickup with a gold high mass all metal fully adjustable bridge, installed a mini humbucker pickup, a battery on/off switch, Kala/Galli 23" scale flatwound nylon core strings (which to our surprise, worked with the magnetic pickup), gold dome top knobs (large volume, smaller treble and bass tone), tailpiece and tuners, all I provided. I added the gold stick-on fret markers. Pat Wilkins did the excellent paint job, the blue suggested by Eric.

Man that is a looker in that awesome red. What color/model is that beauty?
Love it. Looks great with the bridge cover too!Funny thing: If you look closely, you can see where the previous owner gouged the pickguard a bit with a screwdriver while adjusting the truss rod. For a long minute, I thought about buying a new pickguard. Then I realized, 'You d@mn dummy! This bass is SUPPOSED TO look damaged'. Took a second to wrap my head around this irony. Wow. Love the big wide red band too. Here's my minty 12-58 that I scored in '84 for $1050. Originally it came from Fender with a cheezy gig bag, but the PO didn't want to pay the vintage dealer $75 extra for it. In his defense those bags were crap, but collectors are keen for all the parafernalia stuff. (tolex case in the pic was from a different Fender at the time)

Looks amazing against that super figured deck.AAAnnd.. my current top of the list rotation four string bass, my 'Davenbacker'- built in 2022. All Flamed Maple, and Walnut. All Hipshot hardware, Retrovibe trebel bezel, Creamery pickups, Audere preamp. It's 34" scale, neck through body with a real dual acting truss rod. It sounds great.
The pickguard, truss rod cover, jackplate, and side battery box cover are all from the same sheet of anodized gold aluminum. Pretty time consuming fabrication. I love the way it looks on this bass.
That is super cool.
Beauuutiful
In my world it's a Hyundai Ionic 5 N EV (641 horsepower). For the last 3 1/2 years, I've leased a Kia Niro EV, I'll never drive a gasoline car again! This is the Subaru WRX of bass!
