Show us your Martin Keith Basses

In case anyone is interested, one of Martin's basses is for sale on Reverb. I'd post a link but I'm not sure if it's against the rules. I don't have any affiliation, I just have a search with notifications for anything with his name on Reverb and eBay. It's an Elfin 5 string that I swear I've seen for sale in the past.

Awesome man! Besides the pickup, are there any other differences from your other one? And will you keep both or is this a replacement?

Edit after the fact...do I see lined fretless maybe?
Yeah, this is a fretless mate to my fretted. I'm still completely in love with my fretted. It continues to be magical to me. If you go to my Instagram in my signature I just posted a couple of new videos from a live gig last week. I was playing my fretted Martin Keith. Hoping to get enough time with the fretless when it's finished to sneak it on a recording date at the end of September.

This fretless has two Nordstrand BigRig pickups. One standard closer to the neck, and one custom narrow aperture version. Volume/volume/tone. I wanted to be able to get a tighter fretless sound by blending the two for some things, but still in the P bass area.

What strings you got going on there, Andy? I don’t recognize the blue silk wrap…
Hey Aram! I was wrong...Martin said the LaBella tapes were back ordered so he got D'Addario tapes. He said they sound very similar to the LaBellas. I'll give em a go and see how they are.

Martin said that the low B on the fretless may be even better than my fretted...which is really hard to believe since the fretted is so great. People can't believe that my fretted is a 33" scale. The low B is amazing. Really excited to get the fretless in my hands this week!

Oh, I should’ve recognized the wrap, I have those same tapes on my fretless Hannie (the one you played)! They are fantastic, I really love em. Nice organic tone, and not too “plastic” sounding…
